How to Use Your Store Credit on McGee & Co. Orders

Whether you were issued credit from a return or as a promotional offer, here are step-by-step instructions to locate, receive, and apply your store credit code during checkout.

Store credit may also be issued for missed trade discounts or pricing discrepancies, providing an alternative to refunds for such cases.

Store credit can be used across multiple purchases and does not need to be used all at once, allowing flexibility for future orders.

Additionally, store credit is tied to the original order or account and cannot be directly transferred between accounts. However, the code can be shared and used by others at checkout if entered correctly.

This guide also covers special scenarios such as using store credit for promotional pricing and defective items.

This includes missed trade discounts and pricing issues, which are resolved by issuing store credit as compensation.

This includes scenarios where store credit is issued to gift recipients upon return of a gift, provided their email address is supplied. Additionally, lighting items are subject to a 30-day return window, must be unused and in original packaging, and incur a 15% restocking fee if returned.

Additionally, store credit issued for price adjustments is calculated based on the discount percentage applied to the product price, excluding shipping fees and taxes.

Additionally, store credit may be issued as an alternative to refunds for missed trade discounts, ensuring customers receive compensation for pricing discrepancies.

Store credit can also be reassigned to a different email address upon request, provided the recipient’s email address is supplied.

Step 1: Locating Your Store Credit Code

  • Store credit is provided as a code, similar to a gift card or discount code. You will receive this code via email or support communication once issued. Keep the code secure for future use.

  • If you can’t find your code, check prior emails, your account information, or contact McGee & Co. support directly for assistance.- Check your spam or junk folders, as emails containing store credit codes may sometimes be filtered there.

  • Verify that you are checking the email address associated with your McGee & Co. account.

If you need to reassign store credit to a different email address, contact McGee & Co. support with the recipient’s email address for assistance.

Step 2: Applying Your Store Credit During Checkout

  1. Log In: Ensure you are logged into your McGee & Co. account before proceeding to checkout.

  2. Add Items to Cart: Select the items you wish to purchase and proceed to checkout.

  3. Enter the Store Credit Code: On the payment page, locate the field labeled as Gift Card/Discount Code or similar. Paste or type your store credit code into this field.

  4. Apply the Code: After entering the code, click "Apply" to ensure the store credit is deducted from the total order amount. You should see the discount reflected in your total.

  5. Complete Checkout: Proceed with payment and confirm your order. 6. Ensure Correct Account: Make sure you are signed into the account associated with the store credit to avoid any issues.

Note that the store credit code is entered in the same field as trade discount codes, so ensure you choose the correct code to apply.

Store credit is applied as a discount and may not cover the full cost of your purchase. To track your remaining store credit balance, apply your store credit code during checkout. The order total will reflect the available credit and show any remaining balance after the purchase. This ensures transparency and helps you manage your store credit effectively. If the total amount of your store credit exceeds the cost of your purchase, the remaining balance will be available for subsequent orders, maximizing its value over time.

Step 3: Troubleshooting Issues with Store Credit

  • Missing Code: If your store credit isn’t visible or retrievable, retrieve the code from your account or previous emails. Contact our Customer Experience Team for further assistance.

  • Code Not Applying: Ensure you correctly input the code in the correct field. Store credit codes must be entered manually and will not apply automatically. If issues persist, contact McGee & Co.’s Customer Experience Team.

  • Order Already Placed Without Credit: If you forgot to apply store credit but have already placed the order, cancellation of the order may allow re-entry of the code. However, cancellations cannot always be guaranteed if the order process has progressed to shipping.- Check Spam/Junk Folders: Emails containing store credit codes may sometimes be filtered into spam or junk folders. Ensure you check these folders if you cannot locate your code.

  • Verify Account Details: Double-check that you are using the email address associated with your McGee & Co. account to locate the store credit code. - Invoice Limitation: Store credit cannot be directly applied to invoices by support. Instead, it must be entered at checkout as a code. - Special Scenarios: Store credit can be used for promotional pricing if requested, and for defective items as compensation. Ensure you follow the specific instructions provided for these cases.

  • Choosing Between Store Credit and Discount Codes: Since store credit and discount codes share the same field, you may need to decide which one to apply during checkout.

  • Transfer Limitations: Store credit is tied to the original account or order and cannot be directly transferred between accounts. However, the code can be shared and used by others at checkout if entered correctly.

  • Gift Recipient Scenarios: Store credit can be issued to gift recipients upon request if their email address is provided.

  • Lighting Item Returns: Returns for lighting items are only accepted within 30 days, must be unused and in original packaging, and incur a 15% restocking fee.
