What happened to my delivery date?
Delivery delays can happen for a few different reasons: weather, carrier capacity, or a missed connection at a transit hub. When your order is delayed, the original delivery window you were given at checkout may no longer apply.
If you received a delay notification by text or email but no new date, that's normal. It means your order is still moving through the carrier's network, and a new delivery appointment hasn't been set yet.
What to expect next:
For standard parcel orders, check your tracking link for the most current status. The carrier updates their system more frequently than ours, and a new estimated date often appears there first.
For freight orders delivered by our white glove carrier (Metropolitan Warehouse), the carrier will contact you directly to schedule a new delivery appointment once your shipment arrives at the hub nearest you. They typically reach out by phone or text. You don't need to initiate anything on your end.
If you haven't heard from the carrier:
For freight orders delivered by Metropolitan Warehouse: if a week has passed since your original delivery date with no contact from the carrier, reach out to us and we'll investigate directly with them.
For standard parcel orders: if your tracking hasn't updated in 5 business days, contact us with your order number and we'll look into it.
In both cases, have your order number ready, and we'll take it from there.
Your options:
If the delay has pushed your order past a date that no longer works for you, contact our team. We will happily discuss your options with you.
