Return shipping
You're responsible for return shipping on standard returns, and the cost is calculated by the package's size, weight, and destination. Return shipping is only covered when an item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. If you use a return label provided by McGee & Co., the cost of the label will be deducted from your refund.
Original shipping charges
The shipping you paid at checkout (including expedited shipping) is non-refundable — except when an item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, or your order arrived empty.
Restocking fees
A 15% restocking fee (based on the item's retail price, before any discount) applies to furniture, lighting, and rugs.
Your refund
Refunds are issued to your original payment method and don't include shipping and handling. If you choose store credit, it's issued once we receive and approve your return, and it can't later be moved to a card.
If you purchased an item at a discount, your refund reflects the amount you actually paid, not the full retail price.
The estimate shown when you start a return may differ from the final amount after review — your refund confirmation email has the exact total.
After we receive your return, allow 3–5 business days for inspection and processing. For card refunds, allow an additional 7-10 business days for the refund to post to your account. Store credit is ready to use as soon as it’s issued — no additional wait. You’ll get an email confirmation either way.
Refunds may be issued in separate transactions if items are returned or processed at different times. This can make the refund appear partial until all transactions are completed.
If an item in your order cannot be fulfilled, a partial refund is issued for that item while the rest of the order remains unchanged.
Order-level promotional discounts may also reduce the refund amount. These discounts are often shown at the bottom of the confirmation email.
